What More Detail
Don't Copy the Reference Images The request for build will usually have a picture that shows a general idea of what we are looking for.

We are (almost) never looking to have you identically reproduce this. Use it as inspiration for your own work.

Follow the Style Guidelines Usually we will stick with Minecraft Village blocks as the pallet of materials to work with.
Don't make it bigger than the size limit. Your build will be going on a map that has a space allocated for the building, so if it is bigger than that, we cannot use it.

If you are asked to reproduce a building, we are usually looking for something that gets the idea across, but is much smaller than a realistic representation. For example, a real hospital will have hundreds of rooms. A Minecraft hospital will have perhaps six.

Don't Plagiarize. You will be found out.

Some tips and Tricks:

  • Don't use beehives as decoration. They immediately spawn bees...
  • Be sure the deepslate chunks from 1.18 load.
  • When building a wall be sure there is an easy way for player to climb up it or move past it.
  • Never use command blocks that force players to be in adventure or survival mode. Use deny blocks for areas we don't want players to break.
  • Use the latest blocks (1.18 and 1.19) as decoration when it makes sense (ex: dripstone in caves)
